The Crisis Response Manager will directly supervise direct service staff who support adults with intellectual disabilities and/or dual diagnosis. RAPID is unique because it is a 24/7 crisis response program that provides that “last chance” to the individuals we serve. We work with these clients to provide in the moment crisis de-escalation, find long term or temporary housing (we have a six plex apartment complex), and/or work with reducing behaviors so that clients can meet their goals and attend Behavior Management Day Program. The Crisis Response Manager will ensure that customer needs and quality services are attended to based on the organizations purpose and values. The Crisis Response Manager ensures that the service is in compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations and guidelines.

The Crisis Response Manager is a member of the Corporate Management Team and collaborates with directors and administrative office to set strategic priorities and to plan for their implementation. The Crisis Response Manager works with service staff to provide the best customer service at the highest quality possible. The Crisis Response Manager sets service goals and targets to enhance customer satisfaction, improve quality, and maintain a healthful safe environment. The Crisis Response Manager must demonstrate the ability to establish and implement quality services, communicate effectively with others, evaluate existing service structure and work with others to develop and implement tools, techniques and other resources to improve participant service and service effectiveness, and participate in management team decisions.

The selected candidate will:

  • Possess strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Have at least 2 years or more of supervisory experience.
  • Bring their passion for working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • Lead with a positive and energetic disposition.

Minimum Requirements:

A baccalaureate degree, master’s preferred, in a related human services field and a minimum of one year experience in the management of a human services delivery system, or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and three years of experience in a human services delivery system including at least one year in a management or supervisory position and two years of experience or training in one of the following:

  • Care and supervision of developmentally disabled and dual diagnosis.
  • Care and Supervision of one or more of the categories of persons to be served by the service.
  • Valid California Driver’s License, good driving record, valid automobile insurance, must meet California Community Care Licensing personnel standards including Department of Justice background check.
