Central Valley Training Center is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to work at our Day Programs in our Southern Region!
We are seeking a reliable candidate who is a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who thrives independently in a project-based environment. Ideal candidate acts as CVTC’s liaison with medical doctors, care providers, and pharmacies.
Our Behavior Management Day Program is where our Instructors provide person-centered training and support to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and partake in many community outings. You will have the opportunity to help these individuals meet their potential and the goals they have set for themselves.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter consumer data in paper and or computer record keeping.
Educate the participants and staff on medical related items
Keep health records updated.
Assist with adequate consumer care and supervision
Maintain and audit digital and paper consumer files
Conduct nursing related tasks for participants as prescribed such as gastrostomy tubes, catheters, wound care, diabetes care, giving injections, and oxygen.
Periodically observe classroom activities for alignment and quality and consistency
Serve and actively participate as a team member, in the development and implementation of goals and objectives which support community integration for participants.
What we are looking for:
Current and Valid license as Licensed Vocational Nurse.
Familiar with Regional Center Services and Title 17
Familiar with health issues and developmental disabilities
Ability to write Care Plans and update them as needed, but at least annually
Ability to train staff on Care Plans
Ability to advise on Medication administration and associated issues
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma/GED/transcripts showing a graduations date (in addition to LVN license)
Vehicle available for use daily.
Valid CA Driver’s License
Current Auto Insurance
Current DMV Printout (driver history report)
All candidates will also be required to complete a fingerprint and DOJ, pass a Physical, TB test, and Drug Screen.
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Job Type: Full Time (Non-Exempt)
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
