About Mersi
Mersi A. Rodriguez (Abby) began at Central Valley Training Center (CVTC) in May of 2017. She remained at the Stockton site for a year gaining knowledge in her promotions of various positions before gaining the title of the Lead Instructor role in February of 2018. Mersi was eager to grow within the company, and it showed through her zeal in acquiring as much knowledge as possible in each role provided. In October of 2019, Mersi was provided the opportunity to learn more in the Interim Case Manger position. This helped her to eventually gain the confidence to apply and accept the Program Coordinator position for the Sacramento Employment Training Program in March of 2020 and doing so helped her learn so much in that leadership role for the next 5 years. She was dedicated to the enhancement of participants' lives and enjoyed mentoring everyone she came into contact with. She has focused on fostering the relationships with the regional centers and other parties that contribute to the success of both Sacramento programs. With the knowledge and experience gained in the Coordinator role, Mersi was motivated to promote to the Program Director position in June of 2025.
During her free time, Mersi enjoys spending time with her partner, her dog Koda, and her family that most importantly consists of all of her nieces and nephews. Mersi also enjoys her yearly trip to Hawaii to get some much-needed time with her favorite creatures, sea turtles.
