CVTC Stockton West is excited to highlight the positive experiences we’ve had at our program this year! We’ve hosted fantastic events like Art Hops, which showcase the creative talents of our participants. Most recently, we celebrated our Participant Recognition Day, where participants and staff brought their own Disney magic to life!
For the event, staff and participants selected their favorite Disney movies to inspire their booths, featuring a wide range of choices from across the Disneyverse. The displays included Inside Out 2, Holes, Coco, Lilo & Stitch, The Little Mermaid, Monsters Inc., Toy Story, and Alice in Wonderland.
Participants enjoyed a nacho bar and sno-cones, adding to the festive atmosphere, along with an exciting raffle featuring fun prizes!
Our participants were able to take pictures at a photo booth and keep the photos to capture their happiness and create everlasting memories. We also had our friends, the Advocates from PCS, provide live music and DJ for the event! Participants and visitors alike had smiles from ear to ear. One participant from PCS shared, “It feels like a block party.”
Participant John M. wanted to shine a light on his staff member in Alpha, Karl C. Although Karl has only been with us for a short time, John feels close to him, stating, “He’s a good guy to talk to.” John shared that Karl helps him stay motivated during their InShape outings by making them fun and encouraging him to be his best.
