Celebrating Intellectual Disability Awareness
Every person deserves the chance to be seen for their strengths, not their limitations. As we recognize Intellectual Dis- ability Awareness this season, we take time to celebrate the tal- ents, voices, and contributions of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/ DD).
At CVTC, we believe inclusion is more than a value—it’s a prac- tice. It’s found in the way we create opportunities, remove barriers, and embrace each per- son’s unique path to growth and independence. Whether it’s learning a new job skill, building friendships, or exploring creative talents, our participants continue to show the community what’s possible when support meets opportunity.
This Awareness Day is a remind- er: people with intellectual disa- bilities don’t need pity—they need equity, dignity, and access. The real power of awareness lies in action. So let’s continue to listen, learn, and lead with compassion.
Together, we’re building a world where every person is empowered to thrive.
