Fresno West Celebrates Syrena Gonzalez and the Power of Voice

Fresno West would like to thank our Employee of the Year, Syrena Gonzalez, for the amazing job she has been doing to support the individuals she serves.

A group of Fresno West individuals advocated that they wanted to go out into the community to search for jobs. The team was filled with motivation and initiative as they set out to explore employment opportunities around Fresno, California—including stops at John’s Incredible Pizza and Huckleberry’s Breakfast and Lunch.

The team introduced themselves to the owners of Huckleberry’s and professionally expressed their interest in joining the team. They were high-spirited, excited, a little nervous—but most importantly, they were ready and motivated.

Just days later, the team was thrilled to hear that Huckleberry’s was interested in interviewing a few of the candidates. After final interviews, Mr. Danny Cox and James Nutt were selected to become part of the Huckleberry’s team.

This success story is a true testament to their hard work, determination, and the power of voice—the ability to advocate, to dream, and to achieve.
